Oak Ridge High's softball team failed to beat Rocklin in its second attempt Tuesday, but rebounded with a 10-0 win over Granite Bay on Thursday.

Reagen Jacobs allowed only one hit in the shutout win, as offensively Oak Ridge scored four runs in the second, two in the third and four more in the fifth.

Sky Divinagracia and Kendall Kelly led the charge, as they each had three hits. Divinagracia smacked a pair of doubles and drove in three, while Kelly hit a double and a triple and scored three runs.

Two days earlier in the 8-6 loss, Oak Ridge fell behind 6-0 and though they came back to cut the lead to 6-5, never could tie the game.

"We had the tying run on third with one out in the sixth, but couldn't score," Oak Ridge coach Mike Martis said. "Then Rocklin scored two more in the seventh and we were able to get one run back and that made it 8-6. It was the same script from the first game against them. We fell behind big early and just couldn't come all the way back."

Oak Ridge had plenty of offense, as the team had 12 hits, but Rocklin had 14, as Jacobs and Ally Orman struggled to get outs.

Kelsey Sather had three hits to lead the offense, while Divinagracia and Taylor Railey each had two. Divinagracia doubled and drove in a run.

Oak Ridge wraps up the regular season with a home game against Del Oro on Tuesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
