JACK ROOT Track & Field Colorado School of the Mines
Colorado School of Mines will be acquiring a new track and field athlete next year in Oak Ridge senior, Jack Root. Jack’s commit to the school will become official this week at the Spring National Letter of Intent Signing Day. Driven by his love for the sport and the endless support of his parents, Jack will be taking his talents to the collegiate level in sports. Jack has decided to commit to the Colorado School of Mines to take advantage of “the academic opportunity and the overall atmosphere of the school and track team”. Jack stressed the role of his parents in helping him achieve his success in track and field and is very appreciative of “their wholehearted support and extra time spent on the weekends helping him practice”. Jack recalled his favorite memory as a Trojan scoring the winning shot put at the Stanford Invitational. Jack’s dedication and success in track and field has served to be an inspiration to Oak Ridge High School and the community of El Dorado Hills. Thank you Jack, and good luck in your future endeavors at Colorado School of Mines!
