ASHLEY TAI – Gymnastics - Stanford
Ashley Tai from Oak Ridge High School has chosen to continue both her schooling and sports at the next level at the very prestigious college of Stanford University. With her triumphant efforts in Gymnastics, she went above and beyond her goal to attend one of the best colleges in the country. When she was asked why she chose to attend Stanford University, she simply said “Stanford offers the highest level of academics as well as Division 1 athletics”. She continues on saying how this certain school has been her dream college to go to and that she is honored to take part in the student body at Stanford University. In order for Ashley to perform her best during gymnastics, she had to train countless hours. Her love for the sport has been known through both her family and friends alike, when asked who the most influential people in her life were she replied “ my parents and coaches, as they have provided me with endless support”. Ashley's favorite memory at Oak Ridge was the football games on those cold-fall nights. The time of playing football really brings the community together, really promoting our sports in general, in this case Gymnastics! Congrats to Ashley!
