AMBER PIWKIEWICZ Acrobatics & Tumbling University of Oregon
Amber Piwkiewicz will attend the University of Oregon for her fantastic efforts in acrobatics and tumbling. When asked about why she chose University of Oregon, she said “It has always been my dream to go to a division 1, outstanding athletic and academic university. I've also always wanted to go to a big school, that is out of state, has a football team, and has that small college community "vibe". When I visited the University of Oregon it was all I could've ever wanted. It was honesty a dream come true.” Some of the inspirational people through her sports career where definetly her parents “They have literally been with me through it all from the very beginning when I started my gymnastics career at four years old. Through the ups and downs, the good times and the bad times, they have supported me and helped me get through it all. They have definitely gone above and beyond as parents, and I have no idea.” She had always wanted to play at the collegiate level but not in her original sport of gymnastics, when her mom introduced her to acrobatics and tumbling she found a huge passion for the sport and immediately knew she wanted to do it at the collegiate level. Her favorite memory as a Trojan will always be going to the athletic events like the football and soccer games, “ It was always so fun to go with your friends and cheer on your fellow classmates as they did the sport they loved.” Good luck Amber in your journey into Oregon!
