The Oak Ridge HS wrestling team took 3rd to Del Oro and Folsom on Saturday at the SFL League Championships.  
 
Heading into the medal rounds, the Trojans were in a very tight race for 1st:

Wrestling for medals before the championship round were:
145 Jack Santina (11) (took 3rd with 3-1 win over Jarod Mica (Folsom)
152 Nathan Magee (9)  (Took 4th; pinned by Mason Kohls of Granite Bay)
160 Bobby Mello (12) (3rd; 7-5 win over Ben Switzer of Woodcreek)
170 Kaden West (9) (4th; lost 6-3 to Kaleb Reyes-Small of Folsom)
182 Sam Sanders (10) (5-2 loss to Matt Miclat of Woodcreek)
220 Preston Cobabe (10) (bye in 3rd place match; previously lost to eventual champion, Hunger Halverson (DO) who pinned Kyle Richards of Folsom in the championships)
 
 
The Trojans took 7 wrestlers to the championship matches. The first 6 matches looked like an Oak Ridge dual with opponents from varying schools.  After 138#, the Oak Ridge coaches finally had to share the coaching seats with others from the league.

The Trojans competed in 13 weights and will take all 13 wrestlers on to the Division 1AA championships at Pittman HS in Turlock next weekend  They compete Feb 17-18, hoping to take all 13 to Masters Feb 24-25.
